The construction of 80 affordable housing units was undertaken for the end-user client, Homes England. BCL were appointed by Vistry Group to undertake the works on a challenging parcel of land that has remained undeveloped for a number of years.

BCL were appointed based on experience dealing with the drainage in the local area in very wet/challenging ground conditions. Time was spent working with the team upfront to discuss and review the design with the Engineers coming up with a solution to essentially "hold" the drainage in place so that it doesn't subside over time.

The project scope included the full delivery of adoptable roads and footpaths, mains foul and storm sewers, private non-adopted parking areas, and plot-specific groundworks.

This project was one of many where BCL played a key role in the technical review of the design providing feedback and experiences from years of trading history.
