BCL were awarded the package to construct a new 125 home housing estate on behalf of Engie Regeneration/Equans in the Somerset village of Castle Cary.

This exciting new housing project aimed at delivering high-quality, sustainable homes to meet the growing demand for residential properties in the region involved a large cut and fill, new infrastructure works, installing a large attenuation lake, new highways and adoptable deep drainage to the site as well as 125 new homes. Previously this site was an undeveloped plot of land purchased by housing association Stonewater.

The S278 works around the village were managed in house by BCL which included applying for the necessary council/highways licensing and arranging road closures and traffic management. There were 6 different locations around the village where improvements were made.

 

This was one of many projects BCL were awarded with repeat client Engie Regeneration/Equans as BCL have undertaken 500+ plots over the last few years on their behalf.
