Working with long term partner Fisher & Dean we undertook the full groundworks package for 41 new build affordable homes on the Isle of Portland. Including all S278 entrance works, services integration, new highways, foundations, drainage including off site connections and external works.

Working on the first phase of housing at the old Royal Manor Arts College has provided much needed housing for the local community.

We had to be particularly mindful of the existing underground mines beneath the site where the Isle of Portland is quarried for stone, which came in handy when linking with local suppliers for our aggregates. This required careful planning and excavation in conjunction with Fisher & Dean and their engineers.

 

The modules that create the homes are built offsite in controlled environments, minimising waste and allowing for efficient use of materials. Offsite manufacture also reduces the number of vehicle movements for local communities traditionally associated with new homes development.
