BCL were asked to collaborate with Galliford Try on the redevelopment of the luxury spa at the Salcombe Harbour Hotel in Devon, including a two-level spa excavated into the cliff amongst other complex works.

The multi-million pound refurbishment of the 50-bedroom property included cliff face excavations and removal within the tight highways of Salcombe. Drainage works incorporating the level changes and estuary tides, swimming pool and spa construction within the side of the cliff. There was also a multi level car park and turning circle for guests.

This was undoubtedly one of BCL's most complex projects to date involving a large range of challenges on-site all whilst co-ordinating deliveries during the summer holiday period and highway restrictions.
