This was the second education project awarded to BCL by client Bouygues demonstrating their trust in BCL to deliver a high quality product, in a safe manner all whilst working in a live school environment.

 

The project consisted of a new main teaching block, extension to the existing sports hall and re-modelling of external spaces post demolition. A new muga pitch was created and a large amount of drainage and service diversions had to be undertaken to make the new spaces operate.

Dealing with contamination on this site at the outset of this project was an important factor to consider and early collaboration ensured this was dealt with efficiently.

Recognising BCL's achievement on this project not only were awards presented directly to our site team for their efforts but the business was awarded the Bouygues UK ‘Top Performer’ #supplychain award.

As much as this was a celebration of BCL's performance, it is also important to recognise the Bouygues UK team who integrated us into the overall project team, identifying project goals and setting the collaborative culture that led to a successful outcome. Trust, along with a willingness to help each other were key and we were pleased to be involved in such a rewarding scheme.
