BCL were appointed by new client GMI to undertake the full groundworks and externals package on the new Leonardo "Helicopter Factory" in Yeovil.

Delivering best-in-class developmental space for innovation, aerospace engineering and pioneering defence technology. The new Leonardo hub will help the world-leading aerospace organisation to support the UK Ministry of Deference and Security Networks.

The 210,000 sq ft project in Yeovil, Somerset, has seen the consolidation of eight existing warehouses into one all-encompassing logistics hub and will support Leonardo’s global fleet of helicopters through the storage of components and tooling.

​

BCL had to undertake large external yard slabs capable of handling the heavy loads coming into the warehouse whilst also installing 6.5m deep interceptor tanks to cope with the scale of the buildings operations.

​

Overall this project was a huge success for all involved and one to be proud of.
