Scope of our works: After careful material management and remediation of existing material to minimise import, we are now progressing with forming the earthwork retaining structure through the site including the natural granite stone walling. Reinforced foundations for the bespoke accommodation pods and drainage including attenuation tanks have now commenced and we shall be following on with the services and external works such as paving, kerbs, edgings, resin bound surfacing, tree pits and site furniture. A permeable footpath will run along the top of the structure as per the artist’s impression. Associated foundations and upstands for the structural steel frame to the two-story community hub building have been completed and will require the construction of a lift shaft and ground floor slab with detailed waterproofing. The external works have been undertaken in a restricted environment due to a large greater crested newt habitat area within the boundary of the site.
